Pattern formation and coarsening dynamics in apparent competition models

Apparent competition is an indirect interaction between species that share natural resources without any mutual aggression but negatively affect each other if there a common enemy. The negative results of the apparent are reflected in spatial segregation, which impacts dynamics their populations. Performing series stochastic simulations, we study model where organisms two prey do not compete for space predator. Our outcomes elucidate central role played by predator pattern formation and coarsening models. Investigating effects mortality on persistence species, find crossover curvature driven scaling regime coexistence scenario. For low mortality, domains mainly inhabited one type arise, surrounded interfaces mostly contain predators. We demonstrate interface network whose follows law to nonlinear systems. decrease high allowing more significant fraction lattice. Finally, our reveal predation capacity single-prey influences power characterises dynamics. findings may be helpful biologists understand biodiversity systems with competition.
